  • 2.5 weeks.. I am new! *Hypothyroidism mentioned*

Hi everyone! So a little about myself.. 27 yr old woman who was diagnosed with hypothyroidism abou a year and a half ago! I have been losing weight steadily since last August going from 330-290.. August-end of May. June comes - and I fell of the boat- good news I didn't gain anything back - which validated the fact that I finally lost weight the 'correst way'. So, I decided to do some research to see what diets benefit hypothyroids.. and I came across Atkins! Well, let me tell you something ladies... you don't need to be a man to lose fast! lol... I have been on induction for 2 and a half weeks and I have lost a total of 20 lbs and 4 inches off my waist! Crazy huh? What have I been doing? I exercise for at least an hour 3-4 times a week.. for now its cardio-based because I am just not confident to go on the floor with weights! lol.. and I drink nothing but water.. no wait I lied... I have had 2 diet cokes in the last 2 and a half weeks.. I drink water like I am repping Poland Springs.. hah.. So I have decided to stay on Induction, as I have read it is safe to do so when you have lots to lose.. and I feel great. Never experienced the 'flu' although I did have diarrhea for one day (sorry TMI), but no headaches nothing like that - I feel good!
    Stats:
    5'4
    Highest Weight: 330
Starting Weight with Atkins: 287 (6/29/09)
    Current Weight: 267
    Goal: 130

Glad to be part of this
