    Hi

    This is Priyanka....... I am not new to diet, but defintely new to ATKINS, my wedding anniversary is around ...... in a span of 1 year i have put on loads of weight.... i was 121 lbs... then i was 167lbs.....from past 45 days i was on simple diet and also doing exercises now i am 154lbs..... By my wedding day which is in sep i want to be back to atleast 132lbs ..... i heard that ATKINS help people to loose weight in a health way..... please help me as i can see sooo much of support you people giving to alll newbies......

    Welcome to ADDB

    Before you start induction you should read the book. Once you have all the info under your belt, stick to the plan as it is written and drink plenty of water, you will then find yourself dropping the weight!
    When Atkins is followed correctly, you will find it is a very healthy way of life and you never go hungry. Combine the diet with exercise and you will see results.

      For this warm welcome.........I think we are closely related in terms of Current weight and goal weight........ its my second day of Induction...... i am drinking plenty of water...4 lits of pure water and added lot of proteins and cut down carbs from my diett....... my sources of protein is eggs.... chicken..... curds...... mutton........ and eating veggies like cabbage, capsicum, tomato, egg plant, spinach...... pls let me know what allll i can have........

          It’s a good idea to get a copy of the 2002 Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) the book we use for reference on this site. Until the book comes you can check the stickies (information posts) at the top of the induction page - http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/77558-atkins-diet-induction-faqs.html – it’s a condensed version of everything you’ll need to know.

          The Atkins shakes and bars are not legal on induction – there are non-induction ingredients in them and they are not listed on the acceptable food list.

          Before you start:
          *take your measurements and get on the scale so you have accurate numbers to start with - don't weigh again until the end of induction.

          *Eat a variety of meats, cheeses and vegetables. Also make sure you get your fats, carbs and protein in daily – www.fitday.com will help you keep track of this.

          *Drink 64 ounces of pure water -nothing added daily.

          *Take your supplements and start an exercise routine.

          The recipe sites are a helpful meal planning tool – just make sure you use Induction Recipes to begin with. Remember – if a food isn’t listed on the acceptable food list it doesn’t belong in your mouth – no exceptions!

            I already lost 3 more kgs...... i am 66 kgs NOW......

            I am sooo happy for this quick reduction..... its been a week on induction

            hope to looose more.... its more 10 kgs i need to shed.....
