    Hello All!

So far I've been quite impressed with this bulletin board! Everyone is quite supportive of each other and I'm sure that certainly makes the difference for people going through rough patch. Bravo you!

My name is Bryan. I did Atkins induction when I was 24 or 25 and lost about 25 pounds. I was so excited at my newly re-established hotness that I _completely_ fell off the wagon and went directly back to eating what I used to and of course eventually gained it all back... and then some!

I started Induction two Wednesday's ago, weighing myself at the start and last Wednesday as well. I began at 260, which is the most I have ever weighed, snd lost 4.5 pounds during the first week.

I have always been a larger guy (even while playing hockey three nights a week@27 I still stayed at 225 pounds!) So I do not have the expectations of being on the cover of Men's Health (although that would rock!). However, I need to get myself under a bit more control.

Induction has been ok so far. FitDay is a godsend. Most of my cravings had gone away, although they have been picking up for some reason. Last night I vividly remember dreaming of handfuls of M&M's. I do indeed have a large sweet tooth. Well, used to I suppose.

Enough rambling. I'm not brave enough at this point to do "before" pictures, but we shall see what happens down the road.

    See you all online!

    Bryan

Hi and welcome back to the Atkins way Bryan -- Here is a little information I hope will refresh your memory and help get you going again. To loose and keep the weight off follow the plan the way Dr. Atkins wrote it. As far as your before pictures just remember, if women can put their pictures here (with everything hanging out) you can do it also!! It's not like we live next door or work with you ....

Check the STAC Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet for additional support. We also have challenges for members to join, some are exercise related and some aren’t. Also start a journal and post your thoughts along the way.

Check the stickies (information posts) at the top of the induction page - http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/ – it’s an easy way to answer questions you may have if you can’t find your copy of the book.

Stay away from the shakes and bars (they are NOT legal on induction because of their ingredients and have caused stalling to many people) - eat a variety of foods off the acceptable food list, (making sure you get your fats, carbs and protein in daily), drink a minimum of 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), take supplements and exercise.

Check the recipe sites also - they are very helpful and will help make your meals so much more enjoyable. Make sure you are using induction recipes until you move on to OWL (ongoing weight loss)
