Hi all, just done my two weeks induction and only lost 5 pounds. Is that normal as I just saw Forums where people were saying they lost 7.5pds in like literally days!!!!
Feeling a little let down!!
Its different for everyone. I only lost five in 2 weeks when I did Induction in the spring of this year. You cannot compare yourself to anyone else. You have a small amount to lose and that generally means losing less and losing more slowly (which is healthier). So a five pound loss so far is actually a terrific start- better than most with your amount of weight to lose.

Hi Deborah, The scale is one way to judge; it is not the most important but we treat it that way. How are you feeling physically and emotionally? Have you made progress in understanding the Atkins system? I have quit this diet in disgust after losing no weight for a week. I then returned to my old pattern of eating and gained MORE weight. I mention this because I am a week behind you on induction. While the weight is not sliding off, it IS coming off.
My body is being stubborn for reasons of its own. Fine. I'm going to stick with this plan, knowing that is has helped me lose over fifty pounds once before. There is a great deal of wisdom and kindness to be found on ADBB.
I'm glad you shared your struggle and concern. You are far from alone. Check in often and let us know how you are progressing....even if the scale says that you are not (we know better).
