  • Hi I am new and on day 3 of induction

    Hi

    I am Anji, proud mum to 15 month old boy. Today is my day 3 of induction. I have cheated twice by eating few nuts.. wont do that again.

    I am 89 kgs and want to loose atleast 20 kgs. I dream weight is 60kgs which is a long way to go. I put on 22 kgs in my pregnancy.

    I eat eggs and all dairy. I tried vegetarian protein sausages first time today and to my surprise they were quite good.

    I will need a lot of support from all of you because I dont want to give up this. Guys please support me

    Welcome to ADBB, Anji!

    If you are looking for something crunchy, try flax meal wafers and cheese crisps (I gave the links to recipes in the FancyOne's thread, where you also posted).

      Hello Anji, welcome to ADBB. Do you have the book? It answers a lot of questions. Doing Atkins on a vegetarian diet is all but impossible . You can certainly do a low carb diet but know that advice here is assuming you are eating according to plan so if you are trying to work through it as a vegetarian there will be places where Atkins doesn't quite fit, and vice versa. Wishing you great success and congratulations on wanting to be a more energetic healthier mom.

        The stickies at the top of the Induction area are a good start they don’t detail the entire program http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/77558-atkins-diet-induction-faqs.html - it’s best to have the book so you know how to follow the program the correct way.

        If a food isn’t listed on the acceptable food list it doesn’t belong in your mouth – no exceptions! http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html. Look at the ingredients list on everything you eat - check it against the acceptable food list -- just because the label says "low carb" doesn't mean it is Atkins legal. Check the ingredients for hidden sugars and ingredients we're not allowed to eat.
