If a food isn’t listed on the acceptable food list it doesn’t belong in your mouth – no exceptions! http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html. Look at the ingredients list on everything you eat - check it against the acceptable food list -- just because the label says "low carb" doesn't mean it is Atkins legal. Check the ingredients for hidden sugars. The Atkins shakes and bars (as well as other brand names of these products) are not legal on induction – there are non-induction ingredients in them and they are not listed on the acceptable food list).
*take your measurements and get on the scale so you have accurate numbers to start with - don't weigh again until the end of your 2 week induction. *Drink 64 ounces of pure water -nothing added daily (Legal water is considered Filtered water, Mineral water, Spring water and Tap water). *Eat a variety of meats, cheeses and vegetables. Also make sure you get your fats, carbs and protein in daily – www.fitday.com will help you keep track of this. *Take your supplements and *do some form of exercise daily – whatever you like and are comfortable doing. Hi, sorry for making my introduction a little brief.
This is the second time i've been on 'Atkins'. The first time was about 7 years ago. I found it was a fantastic way of shifting the pounds and managed to get down to my target weight of 160 lbs. Sadly after a couple of years i gradually started to slacken off with regimen.
I am now on day 4 of induction.
