Hi all. Time to try and make Atkins stick in my life again. Recently started going through a divorce (including being betrayed) and it is time to get "me" back. I have a few friends; my dad, best friend, two church friends all started on Monday with me. It is amazing as always, I started at 347.5 and today weigh in at 338. I love induction and the quick peel I get at the beginning. I just joined a gym and have been going every day/every other day without fail lately. Drinking lots of water and choking down my veggies (not a veggie eater by nature, why do you think I got so fat ) Just wanted to reintroduce myself and love the support the members here always put out. Thanks for the ultimate Atkins resource.

Hi Scott! Welcome back to Atkins and to ADBB!

It's awesome that you are not doing this alone. Looks like you have a nice support group in real life too. Did your dad and friends also joined the gym with you? Or do you exercise outside together? Maybe go for walks or something?

The August exercise challenges are starting, so you might want to take a look in the "Exercise Challenges" thread. And don't forget about the "Second Time Around Club" --- there's a daily roll call there where everyone can check in and "brag" about how much they've lost or vent about random stuff. Also check the ATKINSNATION Challenge, to celebrate the International Atkins Diet Day (it's the second link in my siggy).

Congrats for the pounds lost so far. What a great progress you've made!

That's awesome you have some friends to do it with, I'm really trying to convince my roommate that he should try it with me. I don' t think he's quite convinced yet, but he will once he sees my weight dropping.

Good luck and have fun with it!

                    Re: Back again with friends

Thanks Everyone! Georgiana, my Dad did join the gym with me and we are both doing really well so far. Dad had a mild heart attack two years ago so I'm really excited that he is working hard to get some of his strength back and weight off. I went out yesterday on a pontoon boat with several friends including two that are doing Atkins with me, took my crystal light, pre grilled chicken strips, and a 0 carb honey mustard I make. Did great. Happy to report I'm down another lb. I appreciate all the posts. It helps having you all along on my journey. Good luck to all of you as well.
