Hello everyone,
I am a little nervous about this bulletin board stuff. It looks like a great place to meet friends and learn more about this WOE...Well here goes....

I did Atkins back in the 90's lost 50 pounds. In 2003 got Lymphoma, had chemo, hysterectomy, mom got cancer and past away, major depression took hold of my life and all I did was sleep and eat. With the grace of God I have got my mind, heart and soul back in the real world.

I started DANDR (read the book several times) Aug. 5 and I am ready to get this weigh off and live my life.

Hi and welcome back –

Don’t compare what you lost or how you did “the last time” your body and lifestyle isn’t the same as last time – follow the plan the way it is written, exercise, drink plenty of pure water (64 ounces minimum daily – nothing added) and you’ll be on your way to loosing before you know it.

With all that has happened in your life Atkins will be 1 part that you can control -- I find that once I feel something is working I can work on another part of my life until I have several things that are working correctly and under control. I'm glad you have read the DANDR (Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution) book - it makes it so much easier to be on the plan when you understand it.

Hi faith, with what you have already gone through I have no doubt you have what it takes to do this. I am sure good health is strong motivator for you given your last few years and the Atkins WOE just makes you feel so good. Glad you found your way here. No need to feel nervous. We are here to help and we understand that everyone goofs along the way or needs a helping hand from time to time.

Welcome to the board

We are your atkins family here and will help guide and support you when needed. This way of eating will help you get the body you deserve and will improve your health and wellbeing. Follow the plan, drink plenty of water and add a little exercise if you can and you will soon see results.
