  • 1 Week In!

    Hello! I am about to turn the big 3-0 in a few weeks, and thought that the best present to give myself this year would be the gift of weightloss and looking good. I was a college athlete, and after school the pounds sort of slowly added on over the years. I'm finally completely sick of it (after seeing "200" on the scale) and am completely motivated to lose 50 pounds!

    I started Atkins on August 1, and have lost 7 pounds to date. So far so good, my challenges will come with business and social dinners (mostly with wine).

    But like I said...I'm motivated!

    Welcome to the ADBB! Visit often as there is lots of info and support here. Its good that you are treating yourself to this way of eating! your health and your body will thank you for it.

    Congrats on your 7lb weightloss so far, if you stay this motivated the rest of your unwanted pounds will follow. Just stick to the plan in the book, drink plenty of water and try add some exercise, then you cant go wrong.

      You have the motivation and all you need to do now is stick to the plan! As for dinners, have a glass of ice water with a twist. It works, try it!

        And its not foreve. WIne comes back in Rung 5 so in a couple of months you will be able to have that social glass with lunch.
