  • Frozen In Alaska

I have been on the program since May this year and am down 42 pounds. I have 30 more to go. I live a fairly disciplined life, but, as a vegetarian, the diet is a bit of a challenge. Would be nice to have a little more variety. Additiionally I live about 3 1/2 hours out of Anchorage and do not have access to a lot of shopping. How did I find this bulletin board? I did a search for the Atkins Quick Cuisine Bake Mix and found a substitute recipe to make my own. That significantly increases the number of recipes that I can make. Hoorah! I will continue to search through this site to find other low carb solutions. Thanks for all of your input.

Welcome to the board, Molokai Kid! And congrats on your amazing loss!!!

What phase of Atkins are you doing now? If you need more variety, you could move up to a higher rung than you're on now. Since you have only 30 lbs. to lose now, it would be best to start adding other foods back into your diet slowly to see how they affect you.

          Tons of Choices

Folks...thanks for the encouragement. I am going to make it to my goal - losing another 30 lbs, but some of the food is getting repetitious. The links you provided have increased my menu choices many fold. Thanks. Going to be 158 lbs by Christmas or that is the goal...plus I am and will feel much better.
