    Hello peeps!

I am a bit of an old hat in the Atkins way. Been on and off for 5 years. Slowly but surely, I fell off the wagon in the last year. I fell in love, quit smoking, and 100% quit exercising because I can't seem to tear myself away from my love (although he is lean, he has suffered some weight gain as well) to get back on track. Ugh. Doesn't help that my fiancee LOVES my curves. We had a talk tonight about helping each other out in getting back on track and getting back on this board is something I know really helps me.

My boyfriend proposed to me and here I am a size 18. blech. So, it's time to tighten up the belt and get back on the treadmill and Atkins WOE. I'm sick of the heartburn, the crashes, the headaches. I'm starting tomorrow, people.

    Breakfast: sausage and eggs.
    Lunch: tuna salad over lettuce
Dinner: bacon and cheddar over chicken breast with a dinner salad.
Snacks: string cheese and a maybe a few almonds
drinks: Water water water. splenda iced tea if I'm feeling annoyed

exercise: 10 minutes of stretching/yoga and 20 minutes alternating every other minute walking/running on the treadmill.

I'll take some pictures of me tomorrow so that we can document the journey.

I'd love some words of encouragement, y'all. I'm having a hard time getting around to it this time. But I got a wedding dress with my name on it and 1,000 friends on facebook who will insist on seeing the pictures.

Wedding is on December 21st. Here we go!

    Sincerely,
    June

Welcome to the board and welcome back to Atkins! Good to have you join us.
Encouragement is something you won't find lacking here... we're all in this together and you'll find the board a source of terrific inspiration and good Atkins advice.

Kudos to you (and your fiancee) for taking control before things get out of control!
You'll look terrific in your wedding dress, never fear. All you have to do is follow the plan to the letter.

Thanks so much, ladies! I woke up this morning and right away checked the board and saw both of your successes and achievements and it gave me just what I needed to march downstairs and start up the ole sausage and eggs.

Later today I'm going to put on my workout gear and take pictures of myself and....eeeek...post the ugly truth. I look forward to getting acquainted with you all!

              Re: Future Bride

Hi and welcome back to Atkins --

Make sure you eat 3 cups of veggies a day -- spread them out throughout the day to keep your blood sugar level (and cravings at bay).

Don’t compare what you lost or how you did “the last time” your body and lifestyle isn’t the same as last time – follow the plan the way it is written, exercise, drink plenty of pure water (64 ounces minimum daily – nothing added) and you’ll be on your way to loosing before you know it.

Check the STAC Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet for additional support. Check the stickies at the top of the induction forum to refresh your memory on the plan. http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/5781-before-you-begin-atkins-nutritional-approach.html.

The recipe sites are a helpful meal planning tool – just make sure you use Induction Recipes to begin with.

Welcome back! And he is a keeper if you and he can talk about your goals for supporting each other as you take this journey to health. I'm looking at my own wedding photo taken just under ten years ago and I was a fat bride ... not my highest weight, but right up there where I could see the weight piling on. Wish I had lost weight sooner but happily I am so much healthier now and taking a big bite of life every day.

Look forward to hearing your progress.
