This is my second time starting Atkins, the last time was about 10 years ago when I lost 30 lbs and looked and felt great. Somehow through these past 10 years, I got cocky, threw my Atkins knowledge to the wind and that 30lbs crept back and brought 30 friends!!
There are lots of things I can blame - but in the end, I was the one putting all those things in my mouth, right!!??
The turning point came for me when I had to put a size 14 back on the rail cause it didn't fit - I'm 5ft 4 to put in perspective.
Now I'm back, started last week just based on what I've remembered Induction to be, lost 5 lbs in the week, then realized that I'm not doing it 100% (milk in coffee, carrots in induction, etc). So I ordered the book again, started googling and joined this site, I'm all yours now!
I have a goal weight, but mostly I have a 'size' goal - since this silly thing called age have a tendency to mess with numbers, I just want to fit in a size 10 again... well, maybe 9, but I'll be happy with a 10. Whatever I'm weighing then, that'll be my goal weight.
In the meantime, I still love seeing those numbers on the scale go down though!! Who knows, I might be able to run a half-marathon again in a year or so...
