Hi everyone. I'm Australian, living in Sydney. I'm 166cm (5'6") and approximately 73kg (no idea what that is in pounds).
Several years ago I started the Atkins WOE and lost around 5kg. However, I got complacent, starting eating carbs again and lost control. So much so that I'm now 5kg heavier than I was when I started Atkins last time!
So, I finally realised that I could ignore it no longer and started induction on the Sunday just gone. Luckily, my husband is doing it with me, which makes it much simpler. As it has only been 4 days, I still feel a bit washed out but the cravings are getting a little easier to ignore. On the second day I would have given anything for a coffee and a piece of good chocolate, but I held firm.
What's hard is looking at the disappointed faces of my cake-baking and pasta-making colleagues when I refuse (politely of course) to taste their latest creation. My Italian colleague is very hard to refuse, but luckily he hasn't made anything this week so I haven't had to fight that battle yet.
My short perusal of these forums has turned up some very useful advice, so I'm glad to be here and hope that this time, I stick to the plan!
