  • Hi all! 11th day on induction

Hi all. I'm from Singapore and I'm going strong on my 11th day induction. I've been yo-yo dieting all these years. I'm been on and off ATkins a few times not doin it right till I researched more about Atkins this time round.

I have a blog Pound by Pound. Inch by Inch to track my weight loss journey.

I've lost 3kg so far and I'm expecting to lose more. I'm 67kg now and my target weight is 52kg. I am a very vain girl and I want to look good and slim in beautiful clothes.

So everybody let's hang in there and cheer for each other!

    Cheers!

    Hi and welcome oyin --

Congratulations on your success this far -- I hope you are following the 2002 Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) is the book we follow here. Just a few things to make sure you are on the right path:

Make sure you drink a minimum of 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), exercise starting today and taking a multi-vitamin without iron (you should get enough iron with the foods you are eating on Atkins).
Check all around the board for everything there is to, there is a challenge section with both exercise and non exercise challenges, Rate My Menu for help with your food, journaling – something for everyone.

Make a copy of this list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html and take it with you when you go to the store. If a food isn’t listed on the acceptable food list don’t eat it. Learn to read the label on all foods you buy - don’t just look at the “carb” number look at the ingredients list of everything and check the ingredients against your list. Just because it says "low carb" doesn't mean you can eat it. Also check for hidden sugars (learn the names used in place of the word “sugar”).

The recipe sites are helpful for meal planning – just make sure you use Induction Recipes to begin with.

Welcome Oyin! Glad you are happy with your results thus far. I always feel better on Atkins rather than off and have found it to be great for my cholesterol and general health too.

        Hello Oyin,

        Welcome to the BB,

I'm excited to see that you've started Atkins. I took a look at your blog and wanted to let you know that the faux potatoes come out a lot thicker when I make them. They have the same consistency as mashed potatoes and they are excellent. So, you might look up the recipe and try it again. It's such a treat!

Otherwise, when you're ready, we keep journals on this site so everyone can help support each other on the bb. You can still keep blogging on your site - it's so great. But, it's so easy for everyone to find each other right on the site.

Loved the picture you had on your site - it's absolutely adorable!

        Hugs,
