Hey everyone!
After watching my mother lose successfully with Atkins, I decided to try it. I'd like to lose around 40 pounds and have actually done Atkins before with success. I'll be graduating from college next fall and feel like I'd be even more confident in myself if I looked as good as I felt when going out into the big girl world - if that makes sense!
My biggest challenge is going to be finding food to eat. I live in a dorm and I'm on a meal plan which is great for my wallet, not so great when trying to find foods not high in carbs. Salads are readily available, everything from making your own to pre-packaged, but I'm not too fond of eating salads every. single. day. Breakfast will be a breeze but lunch and dinner? Not so much. I'd appreciate any tips anyone may have, especially if any of you have been in a similar situation maybe?
I should add that I am a regular at the gym and that helps maintain my current weight, if not drop a few pounds. I recorded my food intake for a week and found it FULL of carbs - lots of subs from Subway, pancakes from iHop and chicken sandwichs from Chik-Fil-A. I have a friend doing this with me so I'll be sharing any tips you have with her!
Thank you!
