  • Finally time for an intro!

    Hi all!
Well here goes...Hi my name is Holley and while I am not new to Atkins or to the board, this is my official introduction, I suppose self doubt prohibits one from an intro or maybe it's the fear of failure, but having been doing Atkins now since 5/11/09, it's safe to say I am confident that I will be a success! To date I have lost 34 lbs (and counting!) and couldn't be happier! Sometimes I feel like this WOE is too easy, especially when I first started. I was very skeptical when I first began, but after having some amazing results, I am a true believer that if you try hard enough and stick to it, Atkins works wonders! Anywho I am rambling and I just wanted to officially say hello to all and that this board has been ever so helpful and supportive thus far, and I can't wait to post my before and afters once I reach my goal!!!! Great to officially meet everyone!

Welcome to the board, Holley! And congrats on your loss so far! Good job!!!

You're right about this WOE being easy if you have the right mindset. I find it is too and love it more the longer I''m on it!

            Carole,
Thanks for the additional links for the recipes, I LOVE Linda's Low Carb recipes! I am a bit of a cook (and from what my family says a pretty dang good one) so I love trying new recipes and tweaking them to my liking. I absolutely LOVE making fried "rice" with cauliflower, and even my hubby loves it! I like to serve it with chicken & veggie kabobs, it's very asian inspired and delicious! Thanks for the encouragment and support! Well I'm off to exercise, I am in my brother's wedding this weekend which I am super excited about, because I might actually look pretty good in my dress, whoop whoop!!!! Keep up the great work everyone!!!

When you are "tweaking" just make sure you are using foods from the list (and not things that aren't on the list). Have a great time going through the recipes.
