Hey all, Mrnice here!
Happy to be a part of the community.
I am actually just finishing my first two weeks of my "atkins-like" diet. I did this diet 5 years ago for 3 months or so and lost 40 pounds. It's similar to atkins except I ate roughly 0 carbs my first 2 weeks instead of the 20g or so that you are allowed. I still eventually added carbs into the diet until I was at a relatively stable point.
So, after the diet I was eating without worrying too much and I didn't gain it back easy! My body was burning fat and it worked out great.
So far this time around, I lost 8 pounds the first week, but hit a plateau the second week (staying the same weight the whole week!). I will probably make my first post in general discussion about this plateau...but I'm happy to be here and look forward to hearing of your stories!
I'm also considering switching over from my off-version of the diet to the real thing.
