I had heard about Atkins before but thought to myself that there was no way I was going to be able to go without bread, pasta and sugar. I tried the 6 week body makeover instead. It was rough, but I lost 16 lbs in about a month. But the eating 6 times a day, of food I really didn't even like, became too expensive for me to continue. I gained 80 lbs after a car wreck injury. I found the Atkins shakes at my local grocery store. I researched the program online and decided to go ahead and try it. After all, it's only two weeks, right? If it doesn't work, I really haven't lost anything but time. Well, it most certainly did work! I have lost 13 lbs in only one week! I am completely stoked to see what happens this coming week! And I get to eat real meat, not just chicken! And cheese! I love cheese! I can have cheeseburgers (sans bun)! That's fantastic!
I find that I am already eating less than before and this is just the boost my confidence needed to continue in this lifestyle.
