Hey all! My name's Connor and this will be my third time doing Atkins. The first time was when I was 17 when I spontaniously decided to give it a try along with my cousin. I did an extended Induction for 4 months and lost a total of 70 pounds, I stopped due to relocating and getting a job, it was too difficult for me to maintain it at the time. The second time wasn't quite as much of a success story, I was about 7 days in when my now (ex)girlfriend who was doing Atkins with me pressured us to stop.
Third time's the charm! 4 days in, Ketosis finally kicked in this morning, drinking a whopping 130oz of water every day and feeling great, and my Fiancé has been nothing but supportive and encouraging. I've always been really adamant about doing a by-the-books clean induction, something I won't stray from this time, but I must admit the cravings have been a bit more overwhelming than I remember. Being a cook in a restaurant makes it a bit more challenging, a lot of temptation.
I remember finding these forums when I started the diet the second time around and really enjoyed reading what everyone had to say constantly, and I figured if this is going to be my continuing success attempt I may as well go all the way and join in. So thank you all for your support even if I was only watching from the shadows.
