  • I just started over!

Hi everyone! I started 5 days ago and have allready lost 10 lbs. I did the atkins diet 3 years ago and lost 104lbs in 8 months. But about 8 months ago i started putting it all back on. I have almost put every bit of it back on so I decided to get my act together and do it again. I've got a picture of me when I lost all the weight before and I keep looking at it everyday. I want to get back there and I Will!!!! I hope everyone is doing well too! I know how hard it is just to get past the first 2 weeks. If i make it past there I will be good to go! Good luck to all of you!

        Re: I just started over!

One thing that might be wise to do is really look at why you started packing on the weight eight months ago. Figuring out the triggers that out you on the wrong path will help you prevent a repeat in the future. Glad you found us here and wish you as wonderful a success as you had the first time.

            Re: I just started over!

Even if you cheat, never just give up. Stay on it more than you go off and keep moving toward your goal. Think about doing the maintance part of the program this time. Its taken me two years, of loose then go off and gain 10 pound, loose it again and move forward to get here. I think it really helped me to not to stay on induction and move on to OWL. I am thinking of how to change my everyday cooking and eating habits to make it work for me and my family long-term. When I gain my 10 or 12 pounds, its straight back to induction. Quicker to loose 10 pounds than twenty. I also have some issues with being a smaller size. My fluffy bohemian look may have to go if I get thin! And when people start opening doors for me and speaking to me more its kinda strange. So you got to get comfortable with your new size when you get there. Makes it easier to stay there! Atkins is a tool, you have to be the one to use it. Deal with the other issues as they come, and good luck!

My starting weight was 235 lbs and I'm trying to get to 130 lbs.

            1st mini goal: 145! met 12/09
            2nd mini goal: 140!
            3rd mini goal:135!
            4th mini goal: 130!

I drink coffee. I drink when I am thirsty. I am just a low carber. Not on Atkins at all!!! He has everything to do with my weightloss and nothing to do with it, depending on who you ask.
