Hello everyone. I have done Atkins 2 times in the past and loss weight both times to then think I could go ahead and just do what I wanted. Now at 47 I am done dealing with this. I have gained 60 lbs back and I am miserable. One of the hardest things for me is that I refuse to use artificial sweeteners. I use stevia, and I do not find recipes using stevia. Is there any one out there who tries to stay as natural as possible on Atkins? I avoid as much processed foods as possible and that is where I end up falling off the wagon. ANy help would be so apprecaited. I will succeed and stay successful.

Re: Going for the loss again
Welcome back –
I'm sure you will find people here who stay as close to possible to natural as possible. I have weaned myself off sweetners and feel much better without them -- after awhile your tastebuds change and you won't want anything sweetened so it's not hard to stay away from them. Follow the plan the way it is written – hopefully you have a copy of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR). Start exercising right away, drink plenty of pure water (64 ounces minimum daily – nothing added) and don’t forget to get all your vegetables in daily!.
At the top of the induction page you’ll find a condensed version of the book - http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/77558-atkins-diet-induction-faqs.html. Make a copy of this list http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html - take it with you when you go to the store.
Check the STAC Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet for additional support. Check the stickies at the top of the induction forum to refresh your memory on the plan. http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/5781-before-you-begin-atkins-nutritional-approach.html. Re: Going for the loss again
Hello 3rd. One of the best ways to deal with the sweeteners is to go cold turkey for awhile--no stevia, no sweeteners of any kind. Its tough at first but the result is that you retrain your sweet tooth to want a less sweet flavor. That way you dont need the artifically or stevia sweetened flavors. Then you can add a wee bit back in later and you may be surprised to find that a little goes a long way.
