  • New and loving it!

    I have to apologize for not doing this sooner, but better late than never! I have been on Atkins a total of 3-1/2 weeks now and have lost almost 10 pounds, leaving 55 pounds to go. This is the first time I have tried Atkins, although my BIL and SIL were on it and loved it. I have been on just about every other diet invented... Cambridge, Phen-Fen, Weight Watchers, etc. (MANY etcs.), and I wanted to give this a try. I am doing it along with my friend and we are keeping each other on track... I think that helps a lot.

    I am 65 (as of this month), right now living in Barbados for work but am from Salt Lake City, Utah. I have 2 children of my own (twin girls), 2 stepchildren, 12 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. Also have 5 cats... 4 in Utah and 1 here in Barbados. I am an instructor of medical transcription and love my job!

    Hi and welcome jacque!!!

    I'm glad you introduced yourself! Congratulations on your loss so far -- great job.

    Have you looked at the recipe sites? You'll find lots of great menu ideas. Don't forget to drink your water (64 ounces pure water minimum). What exercise are you doing?

    Come post often & get involved!

    Make sure you use Induction Recipes to begin with.

        Hi Jacque it sounds like you're off to a great start with Atkins! Welcome to the atkinsdiietbulletinboard- you'lll find an awful lot of useful information here about Atkins, plus a great group of very supportive people.
