  • Better late than never, right? : )

Good morning everyone. It's a little late with my introduction but I finally got around to it. A bit shy. I've been lurking around the boards reading everyone else's stories and progress reports.

This is my first time on Atkins. Saturday, Sep 19, 2009 will be the mark of my fifth week. However, I am still on extended induction because I'm not sure I have lost any weight for the past two and a half weeks, which is really stressing me out. The scale keeps going down 3 and 4 lbs and then back up 3 and 4 lbs. It's driving me crazy. It's making me want to give up.

I feel really depressed and exhausted and frustrated. Any help would be appreciated. : (

The best thing to do is to write everything that goes into your mouth down...then post it on here. We might be able to see something that you can't. Also, have you changed your exercise habits...water weight gained from an intense workout might make a difference.

Keep at it...the scale WILL GO DOWN as long as you stick to the plan.

      Hi Whitney--

You don't say what your beginning or current weight is, your height, age, how much you lost during your 2 week induction -- it's a little hard to help if we don't know much about you.

Are you using www.fitday.com or another program to help keep track of what you are eating? When I first started I made my menu out the night before, put everything into Fitday so I knew how things looked and could tweak anything that needed it before I actually ate anything...I also cooked things in advance so I didn't feel the need to go off plan. You said on another post you were looking for soup recipes, did you find any and are you sure you're getting all the vegetables daily you should be eating?

Are you drinking a minimum of 64 ounces of pure water daily? If not, that may be part of your problem. How much exercise are you doing?

Let us know what's going on so someone can hopefully help you.
      Carole
