Hi all,
My name is Ellen, even though I joined the ADBB 5 years ago I have had an up and down battle to stick with the only weight loss plan that ever worked for me. What brought me back to Atkins (although not the board) was attending a funeral for a 14 year old service user with my boss who is an avid hill walker. I literally thought they would have to bury me that day as well. I was so short of breath my boss had to get the car, I could barely walk 1/4 mile. That was almost a year ago. Of course even though that experience opened my eyes I really didn't do anything until the 16th of January 2009. That was the day I finally had had enough. I was at my heaviest weight and was too embassed to weigh myself. I started weighing myself on the 23rd of January I was at 298 so that's why I have 298+ for my start weight. I have worked hard for these past 8 months and am now within 11 pounds of my goal. I am so grateful to have this life plan and am working hard now to reach my goal. I feel fantastic and have all the advantages everyone talks about, more energy, more confidence, more positive outlook, etc. I was always athletic and loved being outside, now walking and exercise are things I truly look forward to. I hope to spend more time on the board to help me through the last few pounds and then onto maintenance!
