    Hi everyone,
    Im a 21 year old mother of two beautiful kids. I weighed 145 before my 1st pregnancy at the end of my second pregnancy i weighed 216. I had my children back to back both were born december 13th 2006,2007 they are 1year apart to the day. i started the special k diet at first and lost 7 pounds which was 1 week ago and i just started the atkins diet and lost 6 pounds so far and i have only been on it 5 days which is exciteing. i want to get down to 135 so if anyone has information on this diet i would appriate it thanks so much.

      Welcome to the Atkins Board.

      The best thing you can do is read the 2002 Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR), it’s the book we follow on this bulletin board. It will give you all the information you need plus the science behind the Atkins plan - check your local library, book stores or

      Make sure you drink a minimum of 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), exercise starting today and taking a multi-vitamin. Check all around the board for everything there is to, there is a challenge section with both exercise and non exercise challenges, Rate My Menu for help with your food, journaling – there is something for everyone

      Make a copy of this list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html and take it with you when you go to the store. If a food isn’t listed on the acceptable food list you shouldn't be eating it. Learn to read the label on all foods you buy - don’t just look at the “carb” number look at the ingredients list of everything and check the ingredients against your list. Just because it says "low carb" doesn't mean you can eat it. Also check for hidden sugars (learn the names used in place of the word “sugar”).

      The recipe sites are helpful for meal planning – just make sure you use Induction Recipes to begin with.

          So really 13th both of them. You guys will have some interesting birthday parties.
          We are here to help. Ask away and don't be afraid too. We all are a bit fumbly in the beginning.

                It's not water then.

                Crystal Light is a bunch of chemicals ... and it's sweetened. You're allowed 3 servings of sweetener per day, so you're probably getting over the "legal limit".

                You need plain water.

                    yeah i stopped drinking crystal light yesterday and im just sticking to water. I love crystal light but if its worth loseing weight then ill quit it.

                        Did you make your tracker?
                        It goes in your signature - you can find it under User Control Panel (User CP on the blue strip) When there find edit signature and then paste the BB code in there.
