  • Here to stay!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been struggling with weight for the majority of the last 10 years. I was 108 lbs when I started college. Fit and healthy. I got sick and gained weight.

I will give you 10 years in 10 seconds; endometriosis, married my best friend, surgeries but no meds, hypothyroid, diets (low carb), workouts, happiness, joy and pain, infertility and then one miracle baby, beautiful boy, 31 months of cosleeping and nursing and happiness, depression, 108-200 lbs.............regaining control, joy, happiness and balance

I started Atkins in January 2009 but I was nursing my son, and it was a bad idea to start. Since then I have gained more weight, been through more stresses...

I tried Atkins again in April when I hit my highest weight of 200 lbs. But I failed. I did it in a panic and didn't stay with it. I instead tried to find balance.

In August I started Induction again at 200 lbs. I lost 14 lbs in 17 days! But then I got sick; heart palps and tachycardia. It was caused by dehydration (parties and get togethers; I was past Induction and I drank wine, not alot but enough, BAD BAD)

In between last try and now I gained all but 2 lbs back.

I started Induction again on September 24th, I am being careful and keeping positive. I have lost 8 lbs in two days...water sure, but weight off the scale all the same.

Wish me luck, I will do my best to keep you motivated and vice versa.

    Love and Light, Charmed.

Hi and welcome back to Atkins Charmed --

Congratulations on the weight you've lost this far -- 8 pounds is great and that much less you have left to loose!!

Regardless of what you did before, or what people are doing now, your body is different than anyone so it’s best not to compare what happened before or what's happening with others. Look around and find what interests you and join in. Check the STAC Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet for additional support.

Get enough pure water in daily (64oz is recommended) - you found out the hard way this is a necessary part of the plan! Also exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin.

The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out! Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily.

      Welcome!

Do not let those past experiences drag you down, use them to your advantage!! I have also slipped but when I picked myself back up I realized where I went and where that path lead. Now I know where I'm heading.

Every day is a new opportunity to change your life! Grab on to it and don't let go!

Thanks for the advice. I joined a gym and am set to start. Regarding water the weird thing is I already far surpass the required 64 oz a day.

Thanks for the links I will check them out.
