Hi. I've successfully done atkins twice before over the period of 5 years. Starting weight was 165 both times. Goal weight 139 both times. Reached goal both times. Today I started again (155#). Pretty sure 3rd times gonna be the charm. I recently came to the conclusion that I'm soooo totally addicted to carbs. People say that you can't be 'addicted' to a food, however, when the very brief thought of suicide crosses your mind there definitly IS A PROBLEM. With the knowledge of my 'addiction' under my belt I absolutely KNOW I will be able to take and keep the weight off this time. I'm very happy I found this site. Looking forward to figuring out how to use all the cute faces and tickers. Thanks.

Re: New 2 ADBB not new to Atkins
Hi and welcome back to Atkins --
Regardless of what you did before, or what people are doing now, your body is different than anyone so it’s best not to compare - just follow the plan the way it's written. Look around and find what interests you and join in. Check the STAC Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet for additional support.
I hope you already have the 2002 DANDR book and have read it, it is the edition we follow on this site. If not it's worth a few dollars to purchase. Get enough pure water in daily (64oz is recommended), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin.
The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out! Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily.

Re: New 2 ADBB not new to Atkins
Hi Jannals. Don't get too down on yourself. Even the long term maintainers here get sloppy and gain 10-15 once in awhile and come back and clean up. No one can stay at exactly the same weight all the time. Life just takes too many twists and turns for that. We are all human and all have pressures and life changes that lead us astray. As long as you come back, that's the key.
