Hello new friends!

Hi!

This is my first time on Atkins and I LOVE IT! I am on my 7th day of induction and I feel great. I had a very slight headache for a couple days but that's about it. On every other diet I've ever been on, by the 7th day, I'm ready to rip off my arm and eat it, but I am not hungry at all...it's amazing.

I didn't weigh before I started, I am TERRIFIED of the scale!! I finally "put my big girl pants on" (ha ha) bit the bullet and weighed on the 4th day of induction. Who knew a scale could cause such terror.

I am here because I am ready, I am motivated and absolutely inspired by all of your stories and encouraging words.

We will get there, together

Hi there Jennygirl. Nice to meet you, and welcome to the ADBB.
You'll find this a wonderful place for support and inspiration. There's always someone around to answer a query or two and the board offers a host of information and activities.
You might like to start a journal... join a challenge... add or try a recipe...

Post lots, make friends and stick with us. We're all rooting for you to make goal and lifetime maintenance!

Glad you decided to join us, you won't regret it. I hope you have read the 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution book -- it's best to have all the information you can have for the best success.

The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out! Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)(What foods can be eaten on Induction?)(What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - eat enough vegetables - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily.
