My Name is Sharon and I'm on my 5th week on Atkins. I started on 7th September weighing 224lbs. I am still on the induction phase and have lost 14lbs which was lost in the first 2 weeks, I have stuck since then!! I take 3 dance classes a week and have not cheated, not even a crumb. Yesturday I had colonic irrigation and weighed myself this morning and my scales havent budged. I do feel a lot better and I have no appitite at all. Any suggestions before I give up?

Re: Help
Shazza, two things are possibly causing your lack of losses on the scale. First, if you have no appetite and are eating too little, your body is going to try to hang on to every ounce. Are you eating at least 1500 calories a day? Try posting a menu on our Review My Menu thread. If there are any missteps or you are undereating somehow, the reviewers will be able to set you straight.
The other possibility is PISS (Post Induction Stall Syndrome) Many people have a period of three to four weeks just after Induction when their body struggles to make sense of al the changes. During that time they don't lose. When the body finally figures out you are in this for the long haul, it will drop several pounds at once. You just have to wait it out.
You won't continue to lose at the same rate you lost in Induction (unless you are one of a very rare few) but you will lose. Hope this helps.
DO post a menu. It will help.
Also, moving up to Rung One and adding in more veggies helps a lot of folks so if the menu looks good, then give the veggies a try. Stick with us. We will get you through this.

Re: Help
Hi Sharon -
I agree with what Jill posted above. If you are expecting a colonic to help you loose weight that's not a good thing to do. If you are having problems going to the bathroom according to the book take a tablespoon of flaxseed or psyllium husk. Make sure to drink plenty of water if you use these, because if you don’t it can leave you feeling bloated and heavy and you’ll have more problems going to the bathroom.
Make sure you are eating 1 cup of vegetables from the 2nd vegetable list, those are higher fiber vegetables which will help you stay regular. After you post your meals (include exact amounts of everything you eat) we may be able to help you more.
Good luck.Carole_____________________May Water 130oz daily
