Hi. My name is Cathy. I decided to join this forum after reading some of the wonderful posts here. It sounds like there are a lot of very supportive and inspirational people in this forum. Just a little background - I did Atkins two years ago and lost over 60 pounds and then, for reasons even I don't understand, went off-plan. In those two years I gained back every pound that I had lost. But no worries - I'm back and this time I'm here to stay with the support of everyone in this forum. I'm starting at 251 pounds and my goal is 170. I plan to post some before pictures in the next day or two so that I can actually see my progress. That might keep me motivated to stay on-plan this time. Good luck to everyone here. I hope we all reach goal and live healthier, happier lives.

Re: Trying Again With Your Help
Hi Cathy. Welcome to ADBB. Best advice is to reread the book and stay focused on the process not the scale. Feel free to ask any questions along the way.

Re: Trying Again With Your Help
Hi and welcome back to Atkins Cathy --
Regardless of what you did before, or what people are doing now, your body is different than anyone so it’s best not to compare - just follow the plan the way it's written. Look around and find what interests you and join in. Check the STAC Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet for additional support.
Get enough pure water in daily (64oz is recommended), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin everyday.
The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out! Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)(What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily.
