    Hi everybody. My name is Luke, I'm 24 and I've been foing the Atkins diet induction for about three weeks and have lost 17 lbs. This last weekend I failed...Miserably. I went out on friday, Had 10 too many drinks, which led to A hungover trip to the Pizza ranch the next morning. Well, the rest of the weekend didn't get any better as I kinda gave up for saturday. I then continued to be not so carb conscious Sunday. Then Monday I went to a party and had about 25 beers. Then I had a couple cookie bars....

    Well today I've been back to the Induction diet that I was on before this weekend. I Have been reading a lot of the posts on this site and find that this is the most informative place on the web for atkins dieters. (Sp? LOL). I am worried that since I have just basically stopped the diet for the weekend will I be able to achieve the same results I had before I stopped, or will it be much harder to lose the weight?

    Thanks a million guys/gals. I appreciate all the help that I've already and will continue to get from you all.

    Hard to say. You had a lot of carbs and a lot of empty calories they will have to spent before you can get back to losing but once you are there things may be back to normal. Just carry on. And don't let on miss trip you up like that ever again

      No one can really answer the question of will you continue to loose like you did before you had your bad weekend -- the only thing you can do is stay on plan (even on weekends) and do your best.

      Even after you get to your goal going out and having "about 25 beers" on a Monday isn't going to be a rational thing to do.....once you get to rung 5 of OWL you'll be able to legallly have a couple drinks - but remember, your body will burn the alcohol first before it burns fat, so it will take longer to loose weight even when it's legal.

        I can't go out and get drunk or drink a lot because if I have a hangover the next day, the last thing I want to eat is meat. Maybe it would be a good idea to give up the alcohol for a while until you get to your goal weight. Good Luck!
