    Hi everyone!

    I am usually a lurker on the internet but it became obvious to me how supportive people are on this forum. I know that by being active in this community this adventure that i am about to undergo will be lots more enjoyable and successful.

    I am a 31 year old male and I weigh in at my heaviest -- 277lbs. YIKES. My goal is to start bodybuilding again and reach my goal of a lean and muscular 195lbs with the help of the diet and this board.

    This is my 6th day into induction and i feel GREAT! The flu hit me kinda hard at first mostly giving me headaches and making me moody... but NOW I am hitting the gym and feeling good. I have a 3 month old baby boy and i have made the commitment to loose the weight once and for all... for his sake and mine.

    I've had success with the Atkins diet in the past and now I'M BACK!

        Hi and welcome back to Atkins --

        Follow the plan the way it's written. Look around and find what interests you and join in. Check the STAC Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet for additional support.

        I hope you already have the 2002 DANDR book and have read it, it is the edition we follow on this site. If not it's worth a few dollars to purchase. Get enough pure water in daily (64oz is recommended), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin.

        The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out! Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)(What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily.

            welcome plat - I was the same way - lurked for a couple of months, and I was 'going nowhere', fighting the same 10 lbs over and over. Then, once I started posting - and joined challenges - that 10 lbs came off, now working on the next 10 - woo hoo!
