      Welcome to the Atkins Board.

      You didn't give us any information on yourself except that you lost 9 pounds...great news! Make sure you drink a minimum of 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), exercise starting today and take a multi-vitamin. If you haven't already, read the 2002 Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR).


      The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out! Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - eat enough vegetables - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily.
      Many of us use www.Fitday.com to track our food so we know what our carb totals are for the day. It's important you know what you are eating and how many carbs you are taking in each day.

          Thanks guys. My Dr. said I am obese, have to loose 50 lbs. I am going to continue doing the induction phase. Right now I am wanting some thing sweet with a passion, I will check out the recipes. Thanks for the welcome. I would love to get to know some folks who are sharing my journey.

            Not for "sweets" though!

            Seriously, Induction is not a time to be feeding your sweet tooth ... even if it's "low carb".

            Best not to feed your sweets dragon ... you'll never get past your "addiction" if you feed it.
