I've been trying to stick with the Atkins diet, but it seems I need some support...thought joining this site may help keep me motivated...I'm staying low carb. but not staying under the 20 grams...I seem to be in ketosis(I bought the strips) but not much weight is coming off...I look forward to meeting some of ya'll and I'm look forward to losing some weight.

Welcome to the Atkins Board.
If you haven't already, read the 2002 Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR). Make sure you drink a minimum of 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), exercise starting today and take a multi-vitamin. As Georgiana said above, induction is no more than 20 carbs daily.
The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out! Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - eat enough vegetables - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily. Many of us use www.Fitday.com to track our food so we know what our carb totals are for the day. It's important you know what you are eating and how many carbs you are taking in each day.

Hi Tracee. How much weight are you trying to lose, and how much have you lost so far?
You may want to share what you're eating that is causing you to consume more that the allowed carbs. Others may be able to offer subsitutions or revised recipes to help you follow the Atkins guidelines.
