  • Another Newbie :)

    Hi All,
I'm a newbie to the board but not new to Atkins.

I've done it in the past with success but then went off plan, tried it on my own and didn't do so well.

I was diagnosed with melanoma earlier this year and went through a "poor me" stage. I figured if I was going to have cancer then I deserved brownies. If I was going to have to have surgery, I deserved cake etc....

So, I've put back on about 12 of the 23lbs I had lost and enough is enough.

I'm back on track. My mom is doing it with me. We started this morning. I'm following DANDR 2002.

A little about me - I just turned 40, I'm a stay at home mom with 2 daughters ages 6 and 7 and I need to be healthy for me but, I also need to model healthy for them.

So, that's me! I'm happy to have found you all and I hope to be able to be a source of support.

    Blessings to all!

    Re: Another Newbie

Welcome back. Now is definitely the time to do this because this next decade it gets tougher to lose. Glad you are here, and mom too.

It's not about the results. Its about the process.
