  • High school reunion coming up!

Hi Everyone! I was on the Atkins program in 2003 and had a lot of success. I went from 150 to my goal weight of 125 in a relatively short period of time - about 10 weeks. Since then I fell off the plan, had a baby, got divorced, and have just generally not taken great care of myself physically. I have lost 10-15 pounds on Weight Watchers a couple different times in the past 6 years, but I mostly eat processed foods (Lean Cuisines, 100 cal snacks) when I do that plan and I feel like garbage and am hungry all of the time. The only WOE that has really helped me lose weight without hunger and feeling crappy is Atkins, so I've decided to get back to it starting today. I have recently lost about 5 pounds doing WW at home, so I included that loss in my stats. So, my start weight is 145, and I'd like to lose 20-25 pounds.

I live with my boyfriend and he is not a believer of the Atkins plan, he basically thinks that if I exercise enough then I can eat whatever I want. I told him that if he can't be supportive, then he needs to at least keep his mouth shut, so we'll see how that goes!

My 10 year high school reunion is in 6 weeks so that is my mini-goal. I'm in a wedding in August 2010 and I really would LOVE to be maintaining my goal weight at that point, so that is my long term goal.

I'm glad to be here and I wish everyone the best of luck!

Ignore that boyfriend.. show him the before and after section, in particular Sarina, TogaGirl Nimo and a few others.. that should convince him! All of those have gone from BigGirl to hottie using Atkins.

If he still isnt convinced, ditch him! :P

Seriously though, I have been big all my life, and tried every diet known to man.. I have been on Atkins for 13 weeks and have lost about 30lbs without being hungry once! I am converted!

Good luck, you don't need it.. follow the plan and the plan will not fail!
