Hey new to the site but not to atkins , I have recently lost 65lbs but have quit . I was down to 200 lbs (my goal wt was 175) . I was careless in owl and before long back to my old eating habits I have gained at least 15lbs or more back , really scared to weigh myself and see. Anyway monday (28th) I will be back on induction with my new weight and hope to be back on track .

Hey family guy. Somehow I knew you would have a great avatar. Welcome back! Good that you didn't let things get out of hand before heading back on plan!

Cook your own meals bro. If not, then just go for the salads and bbq (without the honey sauce of course) and dont forget your supplements. NEVER give yourself excuses. You do it once, you'll do it again, and your mind will constantly do plea bargains with you. Not cool. If you're going to start, do it ASAP.

The biggest problem i had was when i first did Atkins about 10 years ago, i was fed by my parents so i didn't have a whole lot of choices in what to eat, plus they didn't believe in the "fad diet" as i grew older though i could choose what to eat and even prepare my own meals. As you're a grown man i know you can do the same. Good luck!

            Welcome back --

Start when you are ready -- that way you give yourself the best chance of success.

I hope you already have the 2002 DANDR book and have read it, it is the edition we follow on this site. If not it's worth a few dollars to purchase. Get enough pure water in daily (64oz is recommended), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin.

Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)(What foods can be eaten on Induction?)(What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily.

The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out!

              Re: starting over

I have decided to go ahead with the plan and start monday .I read the book about six months ago but I think I will go back and glance over a few things. Since I will not be at home its going to be alot tougher since I will have to eat out every meal.
