Hi! I lost 52 pounds in the winter of 2002-03 on Atkins, and maintained it well until a year ago. I have thyroid issues, which began to wreak havoc--meds changed 4 times in 8 months, still not stable. Even going back to Induction in January, I was slowly gaining weight, 8 pounds between November and Feb, another 8 between Feb and Sept, 4 in September.
During this past year, it seemed that it didn't really matter what I ate, I was going to gain weight anyway...so you can imagine what began to happen. I would try halfheartedly to stay on plan, and then here come the brownies! Fresh tortillas, cookies, chips, you name it, I had a serving of something sweet and carby almost every day.
I am determined to halt this, and lose the 20 I have gained, plus ten more if I can. So I am back on Induction, TRULY, not "Induction, but let me taste the noodles to see if they are done."
3 days in, drinking all my water. Having a hard time getting daily exercise, but I figure if I can do 4 days a week I'll be ok for now.
The site seems really user-friendly, and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone
