Kind of just stumbled on this site on accident.

I just started atkins about 3 days ago. I haven't read the book and I'm not sure which one to read or if I can just get all my info online.

Being new myself I have nothing to tell you except from reading on this forum everyone seems to recommend reading DANDR 2002. I just started reading it.

There is a lot of information in the Induction section of the forum, but yes, you will be missing out on understanding all about WHY it works if you don't read the book. That's Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution 2002 edition. You can get it used from Amazon.

Its worth getting. You will find that you need it for reference and the online information just isnt as complete.

Hi and welcome --

The 2002 DANDR book is the edition we follow on this site. Here is a link for the book so you know what you're looking for -- the cover is either red or white but make sure you get the 2002 edition. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listi...condition=used - it's worth a few dollars to purchase - check www.half.com or www.amazon.com your local bookstoore (libraries have them also). Get enough pure water in daily (64oz is recommended), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin. Hopefully you've read enough on this site that you are doing the plan properly since you're already started.

Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)(What foods can be eaten on Induction?)(What foods can be eaten on Induction?)(What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily.

The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out!
