  • Hi I'm Cindi

I'm not new to Atkins but I quit for a few months cuz I made some life changes. Change completed and I'm back ready to get the rest of this weight off. I am at the same weight I was when I stopped so at least I don't have to start all over again but I kick myself when I think I could be closer to my goal had I stuck to it.

I'm really excited to get started and today is day 1. I will spend time this weekend reading posts, success stories and look at the challenges I want to join. The company I work for gave us a free membership to Gold's gym several weeks ago........I've only gone one time so far, so that is on the list of personal challenges, to go at least 3 times a week. Another is to do a clean 2 week induction-got to get rid of the toxins I've been putting in my body lately!

Looking forward to the support here and getting to know everyone!

Hey Cindi - it's so good to see/hear/read ?? you I'm really glad you came back. I know how much you like this WOE. How exciting that you have the free gym membership, that's so cool - good company. My company offers different types of classes, but usually at a small cost. I haven't been brave enough to do Yoga out in our courtyard yet - not sure I ever will, but it' s nice that they offer.

This forum is great. I've really enjoyed my time here. I love the challenges - I exercise almost every morning now - I'm still amazed.

I'm glad to hear your life has settled - hugs to you and your family

Welcome to the Atkins Board Cindi.

I hope you already have the 2002 DANDR book and have read it, it is the edition we follow on this site. If not it's worth a few dollars to purchase. Get enough pure water in daily (64oz is recommended), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin.

Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily. The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out!
