  • Experienced and restarting again

Hi! Thanks for letting me join the board. I'm an experienced Atkins girl who was on this board before a few years ago and had great success (and this board was key, I think) in losing 40lbs (went from 235 size 20 to 195 size 14 to almost 12) but then I became pregnant with child #2 and gained back up to 225, got back down to 190 and then became pregnant with child #3. Now I'm around 216 (I will find out tomorrow for sure) and plan to hopefully lose more than just 30lbs and have a habit of good eating before child #4 (the very LAST one).

I plan on on nosing around here a little to check out the challenges and then start a journal that I'll try to keep posting on daily.

Hi and welcome back to Atkins --

Regardless of what you did before, or what people are doing now, your body is different than anyone so it’s best not to compare - just follow the plan the way it's written. Look around and find what interests you and join in - many of the monthly challenges start today. Check the STAC Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet for additional support.

I hope you already have the 2002 DANDR book and have read it, it is the edition we follow on this site. If not it's worth a few dollars to purchase. Get enough pure water in daily (64oz is recommended), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin.

Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily. Rules of Induction: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What are the Rules of Induction?)

The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out!

If you need anything we’re here to help you!! The new challenges will be starting in the next few days -- check them out and join a couple that interest you. Good luck.

            Welcome back to Atkins, Hottie!

You've picked a perfect time to get back into healthly eating before the holidays lure you into too many sweets. Once we get the mind-set that sugar and flour are poisons to our systems, it's much easier to resist all that carbage!

            Good luck to you!
