Well lets see, I am new to the atkins diet and am very excited about it. I started today and have had a great go of it. It is true what the book said. Your not hungry and that was my main concern! I am weighing in at 251 and my goal for now is 200. Once I reach that goal I will set a new one! I am in the induction phase and am hoping to see some results! well thats about it.

    Welcome to the Atkins Board.

I hope you have the 2002 DANDR book and that's the one you read, it is the edition we follow on this site. If not it's worth a few dollars to purchase. Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water daily, exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin. The new challenges are starting for the month -- check them out and join a couple that interest you. Glad you made it through the first day -- only 13 more and you'll be done with induction!!

Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily. Rules of Induction: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What are the Rules of Induction?)

The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out!
