  • Fit for Christmas?

Hello fellow newbies (and experts). I've got an old workplace reunion and a family get together in late December . I would love your encouragement, whilst I duck, dive and ninja kick the many cakes, biscuits and choc bars that will get thrown into my path up until then. I'll be loudly Cheerleading your goal too

            Re: Fit for Christmas?

Hey, ladies thank you very much for your encouragement. This morning I woke up three pounds lighter than when I started, I'm delighted, I know it's just a small difference, but I noticed my jeans felt less snug.

Chinadoll, yes I have the book, i'm on day three of the induction phase now. There's some astonishing and inspirational tansformations on the forums.

And yes, they are my enemy blueberrylady. I'll just have to remember all the times when I've succumbed to something that doesn't taste anywhere near as attractive as the packaging promises.

Think of where you are going, think of how you will look and feel - stick to plan and you will feel fantastic. I highly recommend measuring, so you can see it in the inches, if not the pounds. Good luck.

                Welcome Netty --

Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water daily, exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin. The new challenges are starting for the month -- check them out and join a couple that interest you.

Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily. Rules of Induction: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What are the Rules of Induction?)

The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out!

Just remember - Atkins isn't a crash diet it's a lifestyle and take change in you to make it work - you can't eat healthy for a few weeks then go back to your old ways - you'll be back where you were to begin with plus a few extra pounds. If you need anything we’re here to help you!! Good luck.
