  • And so we begin...again

Hi guys my name is Wendy and I am starting this WOE again...Lost almost 40kgs earlier this year then my 10yr relatiionship ended my sister was diagnosed with emphysema and just last week my mum has found out she has a brain tumor.....
Yep it was enough to drive me to carbs...but no more I need to be strong and healthy for my family and get my life and eating back under control so hope to chat to you all along the way and give each other support and encouragment along the way. I know I can do it so let the journey begin .....
My Favourtite quote I live by now is
We can't go back & make a brand new start but we can start from now and make a brand new end.
And that is what my goal is .

    Hugs
    Wendy

Love your tagline Wendy. Welcome back to this WOE. Sorry to hear about your family. It is tough to keep your eating in control with so much stress but you and your body will cope better if you are healthy--but you already know that. That's why you are here.

        Welcome back, Wendy!

Stress can make us all want to run to the fridge and eat everything in sight but staying on plan is the best way to cope with the pressure of life. Finding time to give yourself some relaxation and stress relief will do wonders for you now. You might consider trying yoga or some other quiet time to help you regenerate. I wish you the best!

Hi and welcome back to Atkins Wendy --

Regardless of what you did before, or what people are doing now, your body is different than anyone so it’s best not to compare - just follow the plan the way it's written. Look around and find what interests you and join in. Check the STAC Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet for additional support.

I hope you already have the 2002 DANDR book and have read it, it is the edition we follow on this site. If not it's worth a few dollars to purchase. Get enough pure water in daily (64oz is recommended), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin.

Don't forget to eat enough vegetables (check the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html) - 2 cups from the first list and 1 cup from the 2nd list daily. Rules of Induction: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What are the Rules of Induction?)

The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out!
