I am 28 and I am looking to change departments. I have to go through the PT test again and need to lose weight. I am not new to Adkins. In college I stuck to it and in 6 months went from 300 lbs to 240 lbs. I was wearing a 34 uniform pants and had a 52 in. chest (again I lift a lot of weights). I still lift, but stopped doing so much cardo. I started eating my fruits and vegetables. You know, the main stream high carb. low fat and low cal. diet. I have now ballooned up to 330 lbs "eating healthy". I have always been a big guy, but I have had it and went to my doctor. He ran some tests and guess what...HE TOLD ME I WAS CARB. SENSITIVE AND TOLD ME TO GO TO A LOW CARB DIET AGAIN!!! I know an MD telling me to go low carb did kinda of shock me, but he said it works and if done right is good for you. So again I turn to Adkins.
If had not changed my diet a few years ago I would not be in this situation. I am staying on the low carb life style for the rest of my life.
