Hi,
I am a Canadian living in Germany living near the French border. I am so excited to finally find a way to shift my weight. Today is day 2 and I am feeling pretty good.. just moving along

Welcome to the Atkins Board.

Glad you found the board and are ready to start. First of all, Atkins is not a "diet" it's a way of eating over a lifetime. Once you learn how to eat this way you will wonder why you didn't start long before now. A few tips to help get you started: Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water daily (nothing added), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin - these are mandatory with Atkins so start now and get off on the right foot. There are many Canadians hers, look around to see if anyone lives close or has the same interests you do.

Make sure you read the book - it will give you the knowledge you need to get to your goal (2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution [DANDR]), eat only the foods on the acceptable food list and eat a variety of foods and vegetables.
