  • A big hunk o love

lol, I had to go with the Title...

So anyways, my name is Frank, I'm from Chicago. I'm 24 years old. I did the Atkins diet a few years ago and lost 100lbs. I'm an idiot and gained it all back since. I hate myself for that, because after I lost the weight, I was at the top of my game. I looked a lot better than I do now, and the girls obviously knew as well. Now I'm back to old me, and hate it.

My friend's wedding is in 3 months, I'd like to drop some weight before that... and keep going of course. I'm about 300lbs probably, I don't even know for sure, I've kinda been avoiding the scale. I'm looking to get back down to 200lbs, maybe even lower if I can do it. I've always been big, or fat, or obese or whatever other word one would describe a fatass like myself. Either way, I joined up so that hopefully you guys can keep me on track! I will do this... I need to.

    So... yeah, that's me.

The people on this site will keep you on track. I'm new here but I've noticed that they are not shy about telling you when you've buggered up.

Welcome to the site. I started Induction a few days ago. I find this site invaluable. The info and support here are just great.

PS. I was thinking I'd see an avatar of Elvis

Hi and welcome back to Atkins --

I'm your neighbor on the other side, Missouri (don't tell anyone but I'm a Cubs and Bears fan...not a Cardinal and Rams fan)!!

Regardless of what you did before, or what people are doing now, your body is different than anyone so it’s best not to compare - just follow the plan the way it's written. Look around and find what interests you and join in. Check the STAC Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet for additional support.

I hope you already have the 2002 DANDR book and have read it, it is the edition we follow on this site. If not it's worth a few dollars to purchase. Get enough pure water in daily (64oz minimum is recommended), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin.

Check this page for answers to a lot of your questions: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/77558-atkins-diet-induction-faqs.html. Make sure you are eating enough vegetables – Atkins isn’t just meat and cheese – vegetables are a huge part of your daily menu and is where most of your carbs should be coming from.

The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out!

I am just so glad that this board is avaiable cuz the support on here is tremendous. Good Luck with your journey and I know u can do it... or I will have to be the one to hunt u down and kick your behind since I may be just around the corner form you ... LOL.

I love it! I'm a HUGE Simpsons fan. I've been watching them from the time they first appeared on The Tracy Ullman show.
