        The story behind those pictures is COMMITMENT and PATIENCE. Folks don't get those results by accident. It is hard work and it involves sticking it out even when the scale isn't moving. Having said that, I love how I feel on Atkins. I don't look at it as deprivation. I am never hungry and never healthier. Hopefully you will feel the same way.

            Welcome to the ADBB and to Atkins! Good to have you with us. You'll find this place a goldmine of good info and tips. There's always someone to lend a helping hand if you need one.

              Good luck to you -- read the 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) book so you understand what you are doing and why.

              Atkins is not a "diet" it's a way of eating over a lifetime. Once you learn how to eat this way you will wonder why you didn't start long before now. A few tips to help get you started: Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water daily (nothing added), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin - these are mandatory with Atkins so start now and get off on the right foot.
