Hello...My name is Ed..I am new here but not to Atkins...I was on the Atkins diet back in 2000 and lost 75 lbs and stayed at my goal for 3 years...i drifted away and gained it all back plus quite a bit extra. I have been back on Atkins since July and have lost 50 lbs. With about 50 more to reach my goal. If I would have had a forum like this back then I think it would have helped. I hope to meet new friends on here. I am from the Texas Gulf coast south of Houston.

Re: Howdy
Hi Ed and welcome. I agree with you about the board. Just checking in daily keeps me more accountable and when I stop visiting daily, I know I am in trouble and need to get back on track. This site uses the 2002 version of the Atkins book, not sure if you are doing that one or an earlier version. Thats a FYU just in case you see advice that isn't as you remember it.

Re: Howdy
Welcome to ADBB Ed ! This is a great group of supportive folks here, and you will certainly meet some friends. Like China said, checking in regularly helps keep me on track too. Ask questions, read what other people are doing, read some of the journeys, all inspirational.
Best wishes on your journey
