Follow the links that J. gave you and that will give you a mini-primer on Induction eating. Soy powder wouldn't be allowed for quite awhile on Atkins.
If you have been on other sites you may be confused. This site goes by the last version of the plan developed by DR ATKINS and not the Atkins corporation. The book referred to is the 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution.

Welcome to the Atkins Board.
Glad you found the board and are excited about starting the plan. First of all, Atkins is not a "diet" it's a way of eating over a lifetime. A few tips to help get you started: Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water daily (nothing added), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin - these are mandatory with Atkins so start now and get off on the right foot.
Make sure you read the book - it will give you the knowledge you need to get to your goal (2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution [DANDR]), eat only the foods on the acceptable food list and eat a variety of foods and vegetables.
